Selected Methods of Archiving

The images reproduced on the following pages are scans of original Carrolltypes, a unique method of photography known for it's costly and laborious process and pronounced lack of stability. The scans were made approximately six months after the Carrolltypes had been produced. It is predicted that most Carrolltypes completely deteriorate within two years. Unfortunately, the process has remained unpopular and will most likely become obsolete.
